The Malta Football Association’s commitment to continue extending the football infrastructure all over our islands knows no limits. These initiatives are backed by the central government and local councils as well as football clubs in various localities of of our country.

The latest amenity to be completed was that behind St Clara Primary School, Pembroke. This consists of an artificial grass football pitch which will officially be called Swieqi United FC Football Pitch. The place was inaugurated by the MFA president Norman Darmanin Demajo and Dr Stefan Buontempo, Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Innovation and Sport in the presence of Dr Justin Fenech president of Swieqi Utd. FC. There were addresses for the occasion by Dr Fenech, the MFA president and Dr Buontempo who all dwelt on the need for such initiatives in the holistic development of our communities, including the youngsters. These projects find fertile ground when they are backed by energy and enthusiasm as well as the co-operation of all concerned.

A commemorative plaque, blessed by Fr Hilary Tagliaferro, was unveiled by Norman Darmanin Demajo and Dr Buontempo.
