National Team Coach Pietro Ghedin has called up a 27 man provisional squad for the last two World Cup qualification matches. Malta will play agaisnt the Czech Republic at home on Friday 11th October and away to Denmark on Tuesday 15th October.

With the exception of Andre’ Schembri who is suspended for the home match against the Czechs, Ghedin is graced with a full compliment of players, including striker and team captain Michael Mifsud who looks set to earn his 100th cap playing in the red and white colours, to become only the fifth Maltese player to enter the centenary club.
