Alan Grima has just returned back from Sweden following a total of 14 nominations as EHF delegate during the European Open that came to an end last Friday with the nomination for the final match.  The nomination for the gold medal match represents so far the highlight of his five years’ international career as delegate of the European Handball Federation.  The final was played between Sweden and Romania in front of 6000 spectators at the Scandinavium.  Sweden won the match 31-22 dominating the match after an even start.

Gothenburg was the host city of this European Open that was played between the 1 and 5 of July.  22 national teams took part in a very demanding championship scheduling 83 matches that were played in 5 days.
