The best trail runners on the island will line up at the start of the fourth and final race of the ‘compressport’ trail running league next Sunday 10th organised by Agones Sfc. The 18km race crosses the whole breadth of the island from Madliena to Fomm Ir-rih. The runners will have to tackle the Victoria lines which unfortunately can be considered as one of the neglected treasures of our island. Stunning views, steep climbs, an array of steps and most of all hardtails will characterise once again this event which is getting more popular amongst the adventurer runners every year.
Speaking to the press club president Mr. Muscat described how Agones Sfc has trail running at heart and especially this race. He hopes that by organising these events runners and non will start to appreciate more the Maltese landscape, environment, cultural heritage and of course trail running.
The race which starts at 7.30am is open to all trail runner and non who want to enjoy a good race in trail running spirit. The event is also open to walkers and hikers who feel like a good Sunday morning exercise.
