For the second consecutive year the British synchronized swimming team, British Syncro, chose Malta to do its final training at the National pool at Tal-Qroqq Sports Complex, in a training camp before the World Championships which will be held this month in Barcelona.

The team had opted to choose Malta again following last year’s training camp before the London Olympics, where the team managed to get the sixth place in the team event.

As part of their training, the British team, which is composed of 12 athletes took part in a show organised by the Kunsill Malti għall-iSport. The show was held on Saturday 13th July and was open for the general public for free.

Apart from the British synchronized swimming team, the Maltese synchronized swimming team, Synchro Malta, participated in the event.

The Maltese team Syncro Malta was founded in May 2010 and is headed by coach, Saho Harada. Saho Harada represented Japan in the Athens Olympics where she won a silver medal in the teams’ category and won a bronze medal during the Beijing Olympics in the duets category.
